(Bloomberg) -- U.S. stock-index futures rose on
speculation Alcoa Inc. will kick off the second-quarter earnings
season with results that beat analysts' estimates.
Boeing Co., the world's second-largest commercial airplane
maker, advanced on reports it received orders for its 787
Dreamliner. Alnylam Pharmaceuticals Inc. soared after Roche
Holding AG, the biggest maker of cancer medicines, agreed to buy
the rights to its therapeutic technology for up to $1 billion.
