(Bloomberg) -- Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Index fell
from a record. Alumina Ltd. led the decline after its U.S.-based
partner Alcoa Inc. said second-quarter profit fell on rising
costs.
The S&P/ASX 200 Index lost 17.0, or 0.3 percent, to 6383.60
as of 10:24 a.m. in Sydney. About 12 stocks fell for every seven
that rose.
