Total renews long term deal with Gabon

(Reuters) - Total said on Friday it has renewed a 25-year deal covering its operations in Gabon, which the French oil and gas giant said defined the legal and tax system governing its work there.

"It covers 17 concessions and operating licenses representing an area of nearly 1,500 square kilometres and more than 60 percent of Total's share of output in Gabon," Total said in a statement, adding this represented more than 50,000 barrels per day in 2006.
