(Reuters) - "Hydro has decided to close or sell its aluminium remelting
activities at Ellenville, New York," Norsk Hydro ASA said in a
statement. "A possible closure would be effective by the end of
September 2007."
"While planning for a possible closure, Hydro will also
actively explore a potential sale of the Ellenville plant,"
Hydro said and added that a sale would be considered in the
coming weeks. It said about 55 jobs could be cut.
