Shell Signs Agreements on Qatar Liquefied Gas Supply, Shipping Management

(Bloomberg) -- Royal Dutch Shell Plc, Europe's
largest oil company, signed agreements giving it access to all
the liquefied natural gas from a new project in Qatar and a 25-
year service contract to manage a fleet of 25 Qatari LNG
carriers.

``First LNG cargoes are scheduled for delivery around the
end of the decade,'' Shell said today in an e-mailed statement.
The Qatargas 4 project is owned 70 percent by Qatar and 30
percent by Shell.

U.K. Stocks Fall, Led by HSBC, HBOS Amid Subprime Concern; BP, Shell Drop

(Bloomberg) -- U.K. stocks declined, paced by HSBC
Holdings Plc and HBOS Plc on concern losses in subprime mortgages
in the U.S. will erode economic and earnings growth.

BP Plc and Royal Dutch Shell Plc also dropped.

Oil Rises Above $72 to 10-Month High on Nigerian Unrest, Refinery Closings

(Bloomberg) -- Crude oil rose above $72 a barrel in
New York, a 10-month high, on concern that unrest in Nigeria may
curb oil shipments and unexpected shutdowns at U.S. refineries
will cut fuel production.

Nigerian gunmen kidnapped a three-year-old daughter of a
British expatriate on her way to school in the southern oil city
of Port Harcourt, a police spokesman said. Five contractors were
seized yesterday from a rig operated by Royal Dutch Shell Plc's
Nigerian venture. Futures pared gains after the Energy Department
reported that U.S. oil and fuel supplies rose last week.

European Energy Stocks May Rise, Led by Total, Shell; Thomas Cook May Drop

(Bloomberg) -- European energy stocks may rise after
oil traded near a 10-month high. Total SA, Europe's largest
refiner, and Royal Dutch Shell Plc may lead gains.

Thomas Cook Group Plc, the travel operator created last
month by a merger, may decline after Credit Suisse Group rated
the shares ``underperform'' in new coverage. Groupe Danone SA may
be active after a report said it might be in talks to sell its
biscuit and cereal products division to Kraft Foods Inc.

European Stocks Advance in Quarter; DaimlerChrysler, LVMH, Swatch Rise

(Bloomberg) -- European stocks rose, posting a
fourth consecutive quarterly advance, after reports in the U.S.
signaled the world's biggest economy will keep growing without
stoking inflation.

DaimlerChrysler AG and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SA
led gains today by companies most dependent on the U.S. for
sales. Swatch Group AG rallied after Deutsche Bank AG recommended
buying shares in the watchmaker because revenue and profit
margins may increase. Total SA and Royal Dutch Shell Plc rose as
oil climbed to a 10-month high.

FTSE 100 Stocks Increase, Paced by BP, Shell; Centrica Shares Advance

(Bloomberg) -- U.K. stocks increased, paced by BP
Plc, Europe's second-largest oil company by market value, and
Royal Dutch Shell Plc. Centrica Plc also gained.

The benchmark FTSE 100 Index advanced 48.10, or 0.7
percent, to 6607.70 in London at 8:07 a.m. The FTSE All-Share
Index gained 28.51, or 0.8 percent, to 3416.59. Ireland's ISEQ
Index rose 1.4 percent to 9484.42.
