(Bloomberg) -- U.K. stocks advanced for the first
time in five days, led by HSBC Holdings Plc after Europe's
largest bank reported profit that topped analysts' estimates.
Imperial Chemical Industries Plc and BHP Billiton Ltd. also
paced the gains.
